PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Acrylic Polyurethane Paint is a two component high gloss finish based on aliphatic isocyanates and hydroxyl resins. Its strong weather resistance makes it able to retain its gloss and color against severe weather conditions. Furthermore, it also has the advantage of strong adhesion, anticorrosion, rust resistance and is able to be recoated for a long time.

Typical Uses:

This product, as coating for newly-constructed facilities and their maintenance, can be applied as a system with most epoxy resin paints in various environmental conditions including marine environment, chemical and petrochemical environment, electric power industry, paper industry, vehicle, ships, bridges and so on. The traditional spraying method is recommended to obtain the best luster and appearance.

Application Guide

● Mixing:

Use the power mixer to mix the main paint evenly, and then as you stir it, you add the hardener until you get to mix well. Generally, if the temperature below 10 ℃, it needs 30 min induction time; if the temperature over 10℃, it needs 15 min induction time.

● Mixing Ratio:

Part A: Part B= 20:4(by weight).

● Thinner:

Epoxy paint thinner.

● Airless Spray:

Nozzle tip: 0.017~0.023 inches.

Spray pressure: 15~18 MPa.

Thinner ratio: 50~15% (by weight of paint).

● Brush, Roller:

Recommended for small areas only. Must achieve required thickness.

DRYING SCHEDULE

SURFACE TREATMENT

All surface to be coated shall be clean and dry. The surface shall be evaluated and treated according to ISO8504 standard.
Surface painted coatings: apply only to clean, dry and good compatible primer.

APPLICATION

Application conditions: Substrate temperature shall be at 3℃ higher than dew point, relative humidity less than 85%. Measurement of temperature and humidity should be close to substrate.

Epoxy Zinc Rich Primer: 2*40µm (dry film thickness)

Epoxy Mica Ferric Oxide Paint: 2*75µm (dry film thickness)

Acrylic Polyurethane Finish Paint: 2*40um (dry film thickness)

SAFETY AND HEALTH

Please refer to MSDS before using this product. If you do not fully understand the restrictions, or cannot follow MSDS directions strictly, do not use this product. This volatile product is flammable. Keep this product away from flame or fire. Smoking is strictly prohibited in working area. Keep working area ventilated during application to make sure solvent vapor content is low in the air. PPE is necessary to avoid this product contacting with eyes or skin. More detailed safety tips are based on practical situation.

Please handle used paint barrel correctly to avoid any pollution.

Storage:

Store this product in shady, dry, and ventilated warehouse. The shelf life is 12 months at room temperature. If exceeding shelf life, the products shall be tested before using.
