Non-toxic High Solid Volume Epoxy Drinking Water Tank Finish

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Epoxy High Solid Volume Drinking Water Tank Finish is a two-component high solid volume product based on epoxy resin, and polyamide curing agent. It is resistant to abrasion, impact, water and salt. Besides, this paint dries quickly and when the paint cures, the film is nontoxic and has no smell. This product, in accordance with Code for Health and Safety Assessment of Drinking Water Distribution Equipment and Protective Materials, has passed the test of Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention and proved to be nontoxic.

Typical Uses:

This product is widely used as anti-corrosive coating for ballast tank, drinking water tank, food tank, dry cargo tank and inner wall of water pipeline.

Application Guide

● Mixing:

Use the power mixer to mix the main paint evenly, and then as you stir it, you add the hardener until you get to mix well. Generally, if the temperature is below 10℃, it needs 30 min induction time; If the temperature is over 10℃, it needs 15 min induction time.

● Mixing ratio:

Part A: Part B= 20:5 (by weight)

● Thinner:

Epoxy paint thinner

● Airless spray:

Nozzle tip: 0.018~0.028 inches

Spray pressure: 18~25Mpa

Thinner ratio: 0~15%(by weight of paint)

● Brush, Roller:

Recommended

Must achieve required thickness

DRYING SCHEDULE

SURFACE TREATMENT

All surface to be coated shall be clean and dry. The surface shall be evaluated and treated according to ISO8504 standard.
For bare steel, it shall be sandblasted to reach Sa2.5(iso8501-1:2007) standard. Depending on the environment of the non-immersed part, grinding with power tools is acceptable but shall at least reach St2(iso8501-1:2007) standard.
For shop primed steel, the shop primer shall be clean, dry and approved.
For surface painted coatings, this product can apply only to clean, dry and good compatible primer.

APPLICATION

Application conditions: Substrate temperature shall be at 3 ℃higher than dew point, relative humidity less than 85%. Measurement of temperature and humidity should be close to substrate.

This volatile product is flammable. Keep this product away from flame or fire. Smoking is strictly prohibited in working area. Keep working area ventilated during application to make sure solvent vapor content is low in the air. PPE is necessary to avoid this product contacting with eyes or skin. More detailed safety tips are based on practical situation.
Please handle used paint barrel correctly to avoid any pollution.

Storage:

Store this product in shady, dry, and ventilated warehouse. The shelf life is 12 months at room temperature. If exceeding shelf life, the products shall be tested before using.
