PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Epoxy Zinc Rich Primer is a two-component product based on epoxy resin, added with superfine zinc powder and polyamide curing agent. In accordance with the class 1, class2 and class 3 in HG/T3668-2009 type II, it is highly corrosion-resistant, highly anti-rust and has strong adhesion. Besides, it has the characteristics of small burn area during welding and cutting. As it is also oil, water and solvent resistant, it can be used with most anti-rust paints and finish coatings.This product is widely used on sandblasted steel surface. Matched with suitable coatings, its corruption-resistant ability can be improved.

Typical Uses:

It is highly recommended for steel pipes, storage tanks, steel structures, containers, etc.

Application Guide

● Mixing:

Use the power mixer to mix the main paint evenly, and then as you stir it, you add the hardener until you get to mix well.

● Mixing Ratio:

Ready to use

● Thinner:

X-7 Epoxy thinner.

● Airless Spray:

Nozzle tip: 0.025~0.031 inches.

Spray pressure: 18~28 MPa.

Thinner ratio: 5~15% (by weight of paint).

● Brush, Roller:

Recommended for small areas only.

Must achieve required thickness.

SURFACE TREATMENT

All surfaces to be coated shall be clean and dry. The surface shall be evaluated and treated according to ISO8504 standard.
Bare steel: sandblasting to Sa2.5(IOS8501-1:2007). For the non-soaking site, acceptable for power tool grinding, at least reach St2(IOS8501-1:2007).
Painted surface: only apply to clean, dry and intact compatible primer.

APPLICATION

Application conditions: Substrate temperature shall be at 3℃ higher than dew point, relative humidity less than 85%. Measurement of temperature and humidity should be close to substrate.

SAFETY AND HEALTH

Please refer to MSDS before using this product. If you do not fully understand the restrictions, or cannot follow MSDS directions strictly, do not use this product. This volatile product is flammable. Keep this product away from flame or fire. Smoking is strictly prohibited in working area. Keep working area ventilated during application to make sure solvent vapor content is low in the air. PPE is necessary to avoid this product contacting with eyes or skin. More detailed safety tips are based on practical situation.

Please handle used paint barrel correctly to avoid any pollution.

Storage:

Store this product in shady, dry, ventilated and away from heat sources warehouse. Storage temperature above 0℃, the shelf life is 12 months at room temperature. If exceeding shelf life, the products shall be tested before using.
