Weather Resistant Epoxy Iron Oxide Red Anti-rust Paint for Ferrous Metals

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This two-component product is composed of chlorosulfonated polyethylene by adding modified resin, rust-resistance pigment, solvent, curing agent, etc. It’s impressive that the coating can exceedingly resist corrosion. Besides, the fast-drying paint has hard film, strong adhesion, and good bottom fitness. Additionally, the iron-red primer is bright while the brown one has outstanding shielding characteristic.

Typical Uses:

This product is widely used as rust-resistant primer for ferric metal surface of industries and ships. Meanwhile, it is especially suitable for facilities in coaster areas.

Application Guide

● Mixing:

Use the power mixer to mix the main paint evenly, and then as you stir it, you add the hardener until you get to mix well.

● Mixing Ratio:

Ready to use

● Thinner:

Alkyd thinner.

● Airless Spray:

Nozzle tip: 0.017~0.023 inches.

Spray pressure: 15~18 MPa.

Thinner ratio: 5~15% (by weight of paint).

● Brush, Roller:

Recommended for small areas only.

Must achieve required thickness.

DRYING SCHEDULE

SURFACE TREATMENT

All surfaces to be coated shall be clean and dry. The surface shall be evaluated and treated according to ISO8504 standard.
Bare steel: sandblasting to Sa2.5(IOS8501-1:2007). For the non-soaking site, acceptable for power tool grinding, at least reach St2(IOS8501-1:2007).
Painted surface: only apply to clean, dry and intact compatible primer.

APPLICATION

Application conditions: Substrate temperature shall be at 3℃ higher than dew point, relative humidity less than 85%. Measurement of temperature and humidity should be close to substrate.

SAFETY AND HEALTH

Please refer to MSDS before using this product. If you do not fully understand the restrictions, or cannot follow MSDS directions strictly, do not use this product. This volatile product is flammable. Keep this product away from flame or fire. Smoking is strictly prohibited in working area. Keep working area ventilated during application to make sure solvent vapor content is low in the air. PPE is necessary to avoid this product contacting with eyes or skin. More detailed safety tips are based on practical situation.

Please handle used paint barrel correctly to avoid any pollution.

Storage:

Store this product in shady, dry, ventilated and away from heat sources warehouse. Storage temperature above 0℃, the shelf life is 12 months at room temperature. If exceeding shelf life, the products shall be tested before using.
