PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Epoxy Coal Tar Pitch Anti-corrosive Paint is a two component antirust primer based on epoxy resin and coal pitch.

It has the advantage of strong water and chemical resistance.

In addition, this paint is also strong adhesive, impact and wear resistant.

Typical Uses:

This product is mainly used to protect underwater steel structure facilities in long-term or frequent immersion state and buried concrete structure.

It can also be applied in crude oil tank, sewage treatment plant and on inner wall of storage.

Avoiding adopting multiple coating methods is recommended to obtain the best luster and appearance.

Application Guide

● Mixing:

Use the power mixer to mix the main paint evenly, and then as you stir it, you add the hardener until you get to mix well. Generally, if the temperature below 10 ℃, it needs 30 min induction time; if the temperature over 10℃, it needs 15 min induction time.

● Mixing Ratio:

Part A: Part B= 22:22/20:4(by weight).

● Thinner:

Epoxy thinner.

● Airless Spray:

Nozzle tip：0.021~0.025 inch.

Spray pressure: 15~18Mpa

Thinner ratio: 0~15% (by weight of paint)

● Brush, Roller:

Recommended.

Must achieve required thickness.

DRYING SCHEDULE

SURFACE TREATMENT

All surface to be coated shall be clean and dry. The surface shall be evaluated and treated according to ISO8504 standard.

Steel: Sanding to Sa2.5 (ISO8501-1:2007). It is acceptable to polish by power tools to meet at least St2.0(ISO8501-1:2007).

Steel with shop primer: clean, dry, sound and approved shop primer.

Painted surfaces: only on clean, dry and sound compatible primers.

APPLICATION

Application conditions: Substrate temperature shall be at 3 ℃higher than dew point, relative humidity less than 85%. Measurement of temperature and humidity should be close to substrate.

This product can only be applied by self-weight to form a top coat. Other products shall not be used for recoating.

SAFETY AND HEALTH

Please refer to MSDS before using this product. If you do not fully understand the restrictions, or cannot follow MSDS directions strictly, do not use this product. This volatile product is flammable. Keep this product away from flame or fire. Smoking is strictly prohibited in working area. Keep working area ventilated during application to make sure solvent vapor content is low in the air. PPE is necessary to avoid this product contacting with eyes or skin. More detailed safety tips are based on practical situation.

Please handle used paint barrel correctly to avoid any pollution.

Storage:

Store this product in shady, dry, and ventilated warehouse. The shelf life is 12 months at room temperature. If exceeding shelf life, the products shall be tested before using.
