FB01 Fluorocarbon Anti-Corrosion International Marine Paint

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This two-component product is mainly prepared by fluorocarbon resin, weatherable pigments, and isocyanate as curing agent, and brings 20 years long lasting anti-corrosion life, and yields excellent color and gloss retention as well as self-cleaning function. What’s more ,the main advantages of this product are superior excellent resistance to heat, humidity, UV, and impact.

Typical Uses:

This product is designed for metal substrate in severe corrosive medium, that requires high standard retention of gloss and color, for instance, offshore platforms and petrochemical plants. Meanwhile, galvanized workplace, iron tower and chemical plants are suitable as well.

Application Guide

● Mixing:

Use the power mixer to mix the main paint evenly, and then as you stir it, you add the hardener until you get to mix well. Generally, if the temperature below 10 ℃, it needs 30 min induction time; if the temperature over 10℃, it needs 15 min induction time.

● Mixing Ratio:

Part A: Part B= 20:4 (by weight).

● Thinner:

Fluorocarbon exclusive thinner.

● Airless Spray:

Nozzle tip: 0.017~0.023 inches.

Spray pressure: 15~18 MPa.

Thinner ratio: 5~15% (by weight of paint).

● Brush, Roller:

Recommended must achieve required thickness.

DRYING SCHEDULE

SURFACE TREATMENT

All surface to be coated shall be clean and dry. The surface shall be evaluated and treated according to ISO8504 standard.

Steel: Sanding to Sa2.5 (ISO8501-1:2007). It is acceptable to polish by power tools to meet at least St2.0(ISO8501-1:2007).

Steel painted workshop primer: clean, dry and approved workshop primer.

Surface painted coatings: apply only to clean, dry and good compatible primer.

APPLICATION

Application conditions: Substrate temperature shall be higher 5oC and at 3 oC higher than dew point, relative humidity less than 80%. Measurement of temperature and humidity should be close to substrate.

Epoxy Zinc Rich Primer: 2*40µm (dry film thickness)

Epoxy Mica Iron Oxide Paint: 2*50µm (dry film thickness)

Fluorocarbon Paint: 2*40µm (dry film thickness)

SAFETY AND HEALTH

Please refer to MSDS before using this product. If you do not fully understand the restrictions, or cannot follow MSDS directions strictly, do not use this product. This volatile product is flammable. Keep this product away from flame or fire. Smoking is strictly prohibited in working area. Keep working area ventilated during application to make sure solvent vapor content is low in the air. PPE is necessary to avoid this product contacting with eyes or skin. More detailed safety tips are based on practical situation.

Please handle used paint barrel correctly to avoid any pollution.

Storage:

Store this product in shady, dry, and ventilated warehouse away from fire and heat. The shelf life is 12 months at room temperature.
