Jianbang Coatings to Protect Dexin Steel’s 240,000 m² Indonesian Plant with Full-Spectrum Anti-Corrosion Systems

- JAKARTA, INDONESIA – Dexin Steel Indonesia, the largest Chinese-invested steel complex in Southeast Asia, has selected Jianbang Coatings as its sole coating supplier for a full-site maintenance project spanning more than 240,000 square metres of production facilities. The contract marks a major vote of confidence in Jianbang’s technical capabilities and product diversity for heavy industrial environments.
- The Morowali Industrial Park facility, which produces 7 million tonnes of steel annually alongside 2.8 million tonnes of coke, faces extreme operational challenges – from intense heat in coking and smelting zones to constant humidity and salt-laden air along the Central Sulawesi coast. To address these varied threats, Jianbang is deploying a carefully tailored coating portfolio comprising seven specialised systems:

- Each system was selected based on specific service conditions, ensuring that every structural element – from beams and columns to piping and storage tanks – receives optimal protection. This multi‑layer approach not only extends asset life but also reduces future maintenance frequency, a critical factor for continuous steel production.
- Jianbang Coatings has built an established track record in Indonesia, having previously supplied protective coatings for the Sulawesi algae processing facility and the Semarang hydropower station. The company is also an approved vendor for China Construction Steel Structure Corporation’s local operations.
